Save the date and join me for 6 weeks of WORD fun!! Starting Monday, October 1st stop by Words of Me Project for your Weekly Word, inspiring quotes and more!!
You see The Words of Me Art Journal Challenge is more than an art challenge…it’s a life challenge! See on the top of my blog where it says…“Living an inspired life~one story, one quote, one words at a time”? For the next 6 weeks not only are we going to be inspired by the Word of the Week to create a piece of art…but we are going to be inspired to create our life  more the way we want it. Here’s an example…
Let’s say the Word of the Week is BRAVE. We could make Brave inspired canvas’s, jewelry, girls, journal pages, etc. Whatever our hearts desired. I would be sure and share plenty of Brave-themed quotes and ideas throughout the week to keep you thinking all things Brave….
“Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.”- Jim Morrison “you can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.”-Stephen King
I will share stories of how the Word has affected my life and ways it inspired me to be a better me. You will get the chance to share, too in our Facebook forum..Mind Body Soul
Are you ready to learn and grow and become exceptional?
If you love to…
*art journal *paint *doodle *connect with others *learn more about yourself *Push yourself *collage *share
then this Challenge is just right for you!!!
It’s FREE! It’s Fun!! It starts Monday, October 1st!!!

Making time to make art

Face Exercise from class

Practice makes perfect, but i am not there yet!

I titled this “making time to make art” but maybe I should have called it,  “Take the time to make your art better”.  Yeah, that should have been the title but since I have already titled it, let me say what I have to say and move on.  No more being slow, tired or just plain ole’ overwhelmed.

I have decided to add times to my calendar so that I can get my practice time in for my Face 2 Face workshop.  Thank goodness I am not sitting in a “physical” class, boy would i be in trouble and asleep.  I worked 12 hours today…yep, 12 hours.  What has the world come to?  What have I come to?  Oh well, the day is almost over and there surely is no need to cry over spilled milk.

The dates I have chosen are Sunday, Tuesdays, Thursdays are my practice days (even thought I want to jump ahead and PAINT something).  Funny that I want to paint so badly when i have been resisting it for so long…lol  Wow, isn’t it amazing how our brain works is truly astounding!  Any type of workout gets  makes you want to work out more.    Now!  I said it…i have set a loose schedule (I say loose because when i feel it’s a chore, I will resist) …….Roz, resist no more!

Go forth..talk as gently to those pencils as you would hold them, relax your fingers and your mind, take your time as there is no rush, make art, rainbows and be here now…fully present…………most of all have FUN!

Fairy sprinkling creativity dust!Grab that fairy dust and sprinkle it over the land!

I’ll Paint You A Rainbow

Grace E. Easley

I’ll paint you a rainbow to hang on the wall,
to brighten your heart when the gray shadows fall.
On a canvas of joy outlasting the years,
with a soft brush of sweetness to dry all your tears.
I’ll paint you a rainbow with colors of smiles
That glow with sincerity over the miles.
On a palette of words I will tenderly blend
Tones into treasures of sunlight and wind.I’ll paint you a rainbow that reaches so wide,
Your sights and your sorrows will vanish inside,
And deep in the center of each different hue,
A memory fashioned especially for you.
So lift up your eyes, for suspended above,
A rainbow designed by the fingers of love…
